Your phone guide
Use your ClinicMonk™ number on your website, Google Ads and other marketing so calls from new leads reach ClinicMonk™. Once texting is approved and your call setup is tested, you can text back and forth and use your prewritten missed-call text back.
1. Get a new ClinicMonk™ number
If you don’t have a number, or don’t need to keep the one you have, start using a new ClinicMonk™ number as your clinic’s phone.
Put it on your website and other public-facing marketing so new callers reach ClinicMonk™, where you can follow up with two-way texting and missed-call text back.
Choose your number on your first onboarding call with ClinicMonk™ support. No number transfer is needed.
2. Keep answering the phone you already use
Put a new ClinicMonk™ number on your website and other marketing. We set up forwarding so calls to that number ring on your current phone, such as Google Voice.
You have two numbers: the ClinicMonk™ number is your public-facing one. If an existing client calls your old number, they can still reach you while you keep that service, but the call bypasses ClinicMonk™.
Texting happens through your ClinicMonk™ number in ClinicMonk™. Forwarding calls does not forward text messages to Google Voice.
Choose this on your first onboarding call with ClinicMonk™ support. No number transfer is needed; forwarding is set up and tested.
3. Move your existing number into ClinicMonk™
Porting means moving your existing phone number from your current phone provider into ClinicMonk™. Your number stays the same.
This is an option if you’ve had your number for a while and want to keep it. ClinicMonk™ support will explain the next steps and the information your current carrier needs to approve the move.
Allow approximately 2–4 weeks after the required information is submitted. The transfer depends on your current carrier’s approval.
Keep your current phone service active until the transfer is confirmed and calls are tested. Don’t cancel it early.
While you wait, you can still use ClinicMonk™: connected contact forms and online bookings can bring leads into your account. Calls to the number being moved continue through your current provider until the transfer. Texting and missed-call text back on that number need the transfer and required texting approval to be complete.
What happens on your first onboarding call?
ClinicMonk™ support helps you choose your phone option, select a number if needed, decide where calls should ring, and begin the registration needed for business texting. You do not need to decide before the call.
When can I start using it?
Start using your ClinicMonk™ number once your call setup has been tested and confirmed. If you are moving your existing number, wait for the transfer to finish. Two-way texting and missed-call text back begin once the required texting approval is complete and the setup is tested.
Once everything is ready, give your website person your confirmed ClinicMonk™ number to use on your contact page and other marketing.
Your wallet
A local number is $2.30/month and toll-free is $4.30/month. Small usage fees also apply, usually a few cents per text segment or call minute. These charges come from your ClinicMonk™ wallet, separate from your subscription.
